Journey is a travel sharing social networking service that helps keep the details of one's past travels all in one place. Users are able to upload photos, videos, jot down details about their trip, and share their logs with other connected users on the app.

The development of this project is still in its early stages. I'm working on building out the basic features and hope to get that in production soon. I'm super excited about this project and have many ideas planned out! Please check back soon for updates.

Infinity Store

Infinity Store is an e-commerce platform. It was created to allow people to sell their own personal products and purchase products from the storefront. Due to security purposes, real money is not used. As an alternative when a user registers for an account, 50,000 Infinity Coins are automatically added to their account. Users can earn more money in the Game Center. This feature replaces the need for financial information. Currently the site is being redesigned. Additionally, more features are coming soon as I continue to develop this project.

Embark

Embark is a capstone project created by 3 developers and 4 designers. Our goal is to encourage and inspire people to learn more about the diverse world around them. In order to do this, we created a digital claw machine game. Users are challenged to successfully pick up a capsule. Once the capsule enters the slot, the user is presented with a random fact about a country. To fully immerse the user with their joruney, we give them a ticket with a list of tasks to further complete.

As a co-developer on the team, I was responible for building the claw machine game. My responsibilities included: setting up the five different sets of capsule placements for the game and randomizing it, writing the collision detection method for the claw and capsules, solving the claw animation functionality, creating the GET request for retrieving a random country and matching the task and ticket, troubleshooting problems and fixing bugs. I worked with the other developers to create the multiple screens in the game and coded the animations.

Super Mix

Super Mix contains 26 Super Shapes that are matched with a specific sound effect. When users press a letter on the keyboard, the shape appears on the screen at a random position and with a random color. Multiple keys can be pressed at once to create an interesting experience.

Particles in Action

The goal of this project was to explore more with SVGs. Particles in Action allows users to write, draw, or do something freestyle with the particles created on the pointer move event.

L System Interaction

The Lindenmayer System (L-System) is a string of symbols which can be translated and used to generate geometric structures. This program was created to allow for experimentation with this system. By changing the axiom (the initial string) and creating a rule, a new geometric pattern can be generated.

Food Source

Food Source was developed to inspire people to cook, help with meal planning and grocery shopping. Features of this app includes searching and favoriting recipes, creating a shopping list, and scanning items with QR codes. The QR code scanner returns a link that allows people to retrieve more information about a product. It also gives an option to add the the scanned item to their own digital receipt.

Angle

The word angle is represented by its definition. The letter 'A' is rotated sideways to represent two intersecting lines. The rest of the letters in the word angle is displayed inside the rotated 'A'.

End Gender Barriers

Inspired by Jacqueline Casey. Casey was a designer who used a limited amount of color in her posters and had a main focal point to draw people's attention. This poster was created to promote equality in the work force for women and men.
